Juliet Laycoe has practiced law since 1998.  She is admitted to both the Washington State Bar and Oregon State Bar.  Her practice emphasizes family law, including divorce, child support and parenting plan issues, guardianship, estate planning and estate administration.  Juliet is a skilled litigator but also enjoys working with clients to resolve disputes outside of court through settlement negotiation, mediation, or collaborative law. For a number of years, she served as a court commissioner pro tem for Clark County Superior Court and a hearing officer for the Vancouver Public Schools.   Prior to establishing Laycoe & Bogdon PC in 2005, Juliet was an associate attorney for more than six years at Blair, Schaefer, Hutchison & Wolfe LLP.

Juliet supports the community.  She is a volunteer with Vancouver Public Schools. She is a past divisional board member for Umpqua Bank.  Juliet served as president of the Vancouver Rotary Foundation, which funds scholarships for local students and grants to nonprofit groups, from 2009 to 2011.  She is a past ex-officio member of the Fort Vancouver National Trust Board of Trustees.  She previously was a board member of the Children’s Center from 2003 to 2009 and SWIFT, Southwest Washington Independent Forward Thrust, from 1998 through 2005.  She served as president of SWIFT’s board of directors from 2002 to 2004.
